vivo Next 2026

For vivo India, 2026 has been an instrumental year of change with transformative premium innovations at the forefront. Inevitably, it led to vivo NEXT 2026, an immersive showcase of innovation, progress and connectivity. At the vivo NEXT 2026, we introduced the vivo V80, vivo X Fold6, OriginOS 7 and vivo S2 FE in India, alongside an exclusive preview of the vivo Vision Discovery Edition Mixed Reality headset.

A Flagship Event Designed Around What Comes Next

Held at Le Méridien in Gurugram, vivo NEXT 2026 brought together vivo leaders, partners, creator and one of India’s biggest movie stars Sidharth Malhotra to celebrate one simple idea, i.e., the next smartphone experience should feel more seamless and blend into one’s daily life. Instead of presenting specifications in isolation, the event moved between everyday cinematic creation, foldable workspaces, intelligent software, all-day endurance, and spatial entertainment.

The vivo V80 in All its Glory; From Festive Portraits to Travel Stories

The vivo V80 comes to India with a sharp focus on creator-first experiences with 4K Cinematic Video and ZEISS Multifocal Portrait. A parent can capture a child’s unplanned smile or a quiet family moment in a natural, cinematic style, while someone travelling through the mountains can use the telephoto perspective to bring a distant peak forward, turning the background into a hero frame.

The indoor experience zones translated into familiar Indian use case scenarios, showcasing each product’s capability. Creators could explore AI Sunlight and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 for warm, festive portraits; ZEISS Multifocal Portrait and Telephoto Imaging for expressive close-ups; and 4K 60fps for smoother motion in real time. Each zone was designed to add visual depth to the product’s materials, finishes, and colour language.

The zones outdoors shifted the mood towards travel and filmmaking. 4K Cinematic – Modern Movie, Vibrant and Pastel showed how creators can shape their storytelling while recording, whether they are walking through a new city, capturing a celebration or making a short film.

When Your Screen Turns into Your Workspace

The X Fold6 showcase centered on Origin Workbench and AI Cross-App Drag supported by the biggest battery in the foldable segment. Professionals can keep a video meeting open while reviewing notes or a presentation or move text from a photographed document directly into a translation app. vivo NEXT 2026 from the get-go established that foldables aren’t just large screens, but a portable workspace for India’s workforce.

Keeping Up with India’s Always-On Generation

At the heart of the vivo S2 FE is a simple proposition: more power, more freedom and more room to experience the moments that matter. Built around its 10,000 mAh Battery Powerhouse, the vivo S2 FE experience showcased the phone’s reverse charging capabilities at a dedicated station. A separate video endurance station kept content playing continuously on the S2 FE without it being plugged in. Meanwhile, a dedicated all-day recording station invited visitors to capture content on the device. The phone’s endurance has also been put to the ultimate test, earning a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title1 for the Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream, lasting an impressive 32 hours and 37 minutes.

OriginOS 7: Bringing the Experience Together

At the heart of the event was OriginOS 7, vivo’s latest operating system designed to make the smartphone experience feel more intuitive, connected and effortless. OriginOS 7 brings together multitasking, AI-powered productivity and cross-device connectivity in one cohesive experience. Features such as Origin Workbench make it easier to move between tasks and applications, while Cross Ecosystem Connectivity extends the experience across devices and ecosystems. Together, these capabilities position OriginOS 7 as the layer that connects the diverse experiences showcased across the event, bringing work, creativity, entertainment and connectivity into one seamless flow.

A Glimpse into the Future, Beyond Smartphones

The defining experience of vivo NEXT 2026 was the vivo Vision Discovery Edition MR headset. Visitors could watch a film on a 120-foot virtual theatre screen, explore a 360-degree environment, or play a game that blends into the space around them. The showcase offered a glimpse of how spatial computing could make digital content feel more present without removing the real world.

One Event, Five Ways to Experience What’s Next

What stood out at vivo NEXT 2026 was that “what’s next” did not come packaged as one kind of experience. It looked different depending on who was using it. Whether that meant creating on the V80, getting more work done on the X Fold6, staying powered through the day with the S2 FE, or discovering entirely new ways of interacting with technology through vivo Vision Discovery Edition. OriginOS 7 tied these experiences together, making the broader portfolio feel less like a collection of products and more like different entry points into the same philosophy: technology should adapt to people, rather than asking people to adapt to technology. That is perhaps the bigger evolution vivo is bringing to India next. A more considered, differentiated approach to premium, where every experience has a purpose, and every user gets to find their own way of doing more, creating more and experiencing more.
