In December, vivo and ZEISS announced a long-term strategic partnership to jointly promote and develop breakthrough innovations in mobile imaging technology. The companies also unveiled plans to establish a joint R&D program – the vivo ZEISS Imaging Lab. The vivo X60 series was the first to feature the ‘vivo ZEISS co-engineered imaging system’.

vivo India pushed the boundaries of smartphone design and camera experience by introducing its flagship NEX series, which was the first smartphone with an Elevating Front Camera and a truly bezel-less display, in India.

vivo planned its expansion into Southeast Asia, marking the beginning of its overseas growth and global business strategy. This was achieved through the appointment of brand licensees across various territories. vivo Mobile India Private Limited (“vivo India”) was incorporated and acquired the brand licensing rights for the 'vivo' brand in the Indian market.

vivo launched X1, the world's thinnest smartphone at its release: (6.55mm thick). It was also the world's first to put a dedicated Hi-Fi quality audio chip in a smartphone.

vivo Mobile Communication Co. Ltd. (“vivo”) was established, and brand ‘vivo’ was launched. vivo launched its first smartphone, the vivo V1, positioned as a music smartphone supporting SRS.
