vivo continued its premiumisation journey in India, strengthening its presence in the INR 50,000-plus segment through the X series. In 2025, vivo launched three flagship X series devices — the X Fold5, X200 FE, and X300 series, while also introducing the all-new OriginOS 6 in India.

Over the decade, vivo India manufactured approximately 150 million ‘Made in India’ smartphones, empowering millions of Indians to join the digital ecosystem.

In December, vivo and ZEISS announced a long-term strategic partnership to jointly promote and develop breakthrough innovations in mobile imaging technology. The companies also unveiled plans to establish a joint R&D program – the vivo ZEISS Imaging Lab. The vivo X60 series was the first to feature the ‘vivo ZEISS co-engineered imaging system’.

vivo India pushed the boundaries of smartphone design and camera experience by introducing its flagship NEX series, which was the first smartphone with an Elevating Front Camera and a truly bezel-less display, in India.

This was achieved through the appointment of brand licensees across various territories. vivo Mobile India Private Limited (“vivo India”) was incorporated and acquired the brand licensing rights for the 'vivo' brand in the Indian market.
