In a world of endless notifications and constant scrolling, an important question remains: Are we truly present for the moments that matter? This thought inspired vivo’s Switch Off campaign seven years ago – an initiative that encourages people to build mindful smartphone habits, be more present, and create space for meaningful human connections.

Carrying this message forward, vivo recently partnered with Soul Pantry at Andaz Delhi by Hyatt, a destination known for conscious living and intentional experiences. Together, they invited guests to embrace a simple idea: put their phones aside and reconnect with the people around them.

Placed on every table was a handwritten note that read, “To the ones who chose this table.” Guests were invited to place their phones inside a box and walk to the live pizza station to create their own pizzas with their loved ones, with one rule: leave the phone behind.

The experience sparked genuine conversations, shared laughter, and moments of connection that often get lost behind screens. More than a social experiment, it served as a reminder that while technology enriches our lives, some of life’s most memorable experiences happen when we choose to be fully present with our friends and family.

Through Switch Off, vivo aims to champion a balanced relationship with technology—one that helps people stay connected not only to their devices, but also to each other.
