At vivo, we hold close a single belief of Benfen”, the spirit of doing the right thing and doing it right. It is the guiding light that fuels our innovation, how we collaborate and how we contribute to the communities we serve. This belief anchors every choice we make, reminding us that progress is meaningful only when it uplifts people.

Education naturally becomes a key pillar in this journey. It is the foundation that allows individuals to participate in a rapidly evolving digital world with confidence and capability. This focus sits at the heart of our larger responsibility – encouraging young minds to discover their potential, enabling technology to serve society and ensuring that opportunity is not limited by access. Our CSR and CER (Corporate Environment Responsibility) initiatives like vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Initiative, vivo KanyaGyaan, vivo for Education, Forest Creation and Renewal Energy Promotion such as Solar Panel installation are designed with this intent, supporting talent across stages of aspiration, capability, and need.

vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation initiative

vivo Ignite is where this belief comes alive. The program allows students across the country to look at real-world challenges and respond with original thinking, ideas grounded in empathy, science, and practicality. Since its inception in 2022, its momentum has only grown. The past edition witnessed over 37,000 registrations from 9000+ school across 660+ districts, resulting in more than 5,600 ideas emerging from classrooms and communities. Each idea reflected a generation determined not just to succeed but to solve real-life problems.

To strengthen these young innovators, vivo supported the winning projects with scholarship of around INR 35 lakhs, helping turn a tech-driven social innovation into solutions that can grow and create real impact.

vivo KanyaGyaan

While vivo Ignite nurtures ideas from school children, vivo KanyaGyaan expands possibilities for young women pursuing undergraduate and vocational courses. It has two focused pathways:

  • Scholarship Program that supports access to STEM education
  • Job-Oriented Vocational Training (JOVT) Program that strengthens employability

Together, these helps bridge access gaps that shape women’s participation in STEM across India.

  • Scholarship Program: The initiative is currently supporting around 150 young women as they move from aspiration to action by overcoming systemic barriers through structured scholarships and academic enablement. In the upcoming financial year (2025-2026), it will aim to include 350 more scholars, creating a cohort of 500 young women pursuing STEM education with sustained support. These scholars represent future scientists, engineers, doctors, and leaders, carrying not just ambition but resilience shaped by opportunity.

  • Job-Oriented Vocational Skill Training: Looking ahead, we plan to add a new component to impact 1,000 young women through skill based vocational training. This will help those who have missed formal education, further bridging the gender gap in the workforce.

vivo for Education

This program ensures that financial constraints do not define academic possibilities. It provides scholarships to help young boys continue their education, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive access and academic continuity. This sustained support ensures that opportunity does not end mid-journey, but carries through to completion.

Through employee-led volunteering, we strengthened this effort by supporting and transforming a nearby school with playground readiness, a library setup, mural arts in classroom, book donations, and cultural activities; reinforcing vivo’s commitment to meaningful community engagement and impact.

Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER)

As we deepened our focus on learning and opportunity, our responsibility toward the surrounding environment grew even more important. After all, progress can thrive only when the ecosystem around it is healthy and supported. With this belief, vivo extended its efforts beyond education into nurturing the ecosystem that makes opportunity possible. This took shape through the Miyawaki plantation near our Greater Noida facility, where 30,000 saplings were planted across 10,000 square metres. The plantation continues to be supported through maintenance for its 2nd year, survival monitoring, and gap-filling to ensure long-term ecological viability. Each sapling is uniquely tagged for ongoing tracking and accountability.

This was complemented by the installation of solar panels across two local police stations, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and creating a model for cleaner public infrastructure. Together, these efforts reflect deliberate structural choices, embedding environmental responsibility into how we build and operate.

As we move into the new year, our focus remains clear: scale impact with intent, narrow the gender gap, deepen relevance for India, and ensure that innovation translates into meaningful value. From enabling young minds to pursue STEM and vocational careers to shaping India-centric initiatives rooted in local realities, our work will continue to be guided by structured thinking, long-term partnerships, and responsible execution.
