Six months ago, we embarked on a quest to find visionaries of the future. A new cohort of young changemakers, for who, challenges are a means to create a better world. And that was the mission for vivo Ignite 3rd Edition – Technology and Innovation Initiative. In the last couple of months, we received nearly 40,000 registrations of students from classes 8 to 12, who submitted awe-inspiring projects, solely dedicated to make a difference – for individuals and communities. These students, from the length and breadth of the country, took their classroom knowledge and applied it to real world challenges to create solutions that holistically benefits all, showcasing that the youth of India is propelled towards a future driven by innovation.

Over the last three editions, vivo Ignite has evolved as a program, aiming to empower changemakers, by providing a platform that hones their skills and grit to make real impact and provide solutions that enable societal change. The 3rd edition of the program not only witnessed high-volume participation, but also saw projects from all spheres of life, focused on one common goal. These projects tackled agricultural and irrigation woes, utilised AI to assist rural communities and invented sustainable means to reduce our carbon footprint on the world. 

With innovation sewn into the very fabric of each participant, the grand finale in New Delhi showcased the top 10 innovations, handpicked from over 5,000 submissions. These projects are a testament to the belief that technology and innovation are the cornerstone of impactful change for the world. With the new changemakers, vivo Ignite 3rd Edition has come to an befitting end. These students will now step into the real world with a newfound determination to look at adversity in the eye and work towards making meaningful change. Through this initiative, vivo India has been pursuing an endeavour to nurture the power of innovation by empowering the youth of India to bring out compelling solutions for real world problems. Since its inception, vivo has engaged with nearly 60,000 students across India, with participants receiving over INR 90 lakh worth in scholarships. vivo Ignite is an eternal flame that never goes out but only burns brighter. As we bid adieu to the third edition, we can’t wait to witness what’s in store for the next one.
